تكونت الفرقه بريفربول بأنجلترا سنة 1960 وأنفصلت سنة 1970

أصبحت للفرقة شهرة عالمية، وقد كانوا من أكثر الفرق تأثيراً في تاريخ الموسيقى.

جون وينتسون أونو لينون (John Winston Ono Lennon)
ولد في 9 أكتوبر عام 1940، وتوفي في 8 ديسمبر عام 1980
كان مغنٍ وشاعر وعازف جيتار لفرقة البيتلز. بعد توقف الفرقة عام 1970،
عاش مع زوجته يوكو أونو في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية،
وأكمل مسيرته الفنية.
بدأ لينون مسيرته كعضو في فرقة البيتلز في. كان يعزف على الجيتار،
ثم تعلم العزف على البيانو. وأغلب أغاني الفرقة كتبها لينون وكذلك بول مكارتني.
أشهر الأغاني التي كتبها لينون للفرقة هي:

"A Hard Day's Night"
"Help"
"Strawberry Fields Forever"
""A Day In The Life

والكثير غيرهم.

حينما انتقل إلى الولايات المتحدة، عاش أغلب الوقت في نيويورك، حيث سجل عدة ألبومات هناك،
أشهرها ألبوم (Imagine)

وفي عام 1980 اغتيل وهو ذاهب إلى منزله في نيويورك بواسطة شخص يدعى
(مارك ديفيد تشابمان)
الذي كان مختل عقلياً.
و توجد الآن حديقة في نيويورك اسمها حقول الفراولة (Strawberry Fields)،
الاسم الذي كان لإحدى أشهر أغانيه

بول مكارتني الملقب السير جيمز بول مكارتني ( Sir James Paul McCartney)
ولد في 18 يونيو عام 1942، في ليفربول، إنجلترا
هو مغنٍ وموسيقي وشاعر غنائي بريطاني، وعضو فرقة البيتلز.
بدأ مكارتني بكتابة الأغاني وهو بعمر 16 عاماً، وقد كتب أكثر من 200 قصيدة غنائية، أشهرها
أغنية "Yesterday". عام 1965،
بالإضافة إلى

"Can't Buy Me Love"
""Hey Jude و Penny" Lane"
"Eleanor Rigby "
"Let It Be"

حينما توقفت فرقة البيتلز عام 1970،
واصل بول مكارتني وحده وأنتج العديد من الأغاني الناجحة،
وكذلك كون فرقة خاصة به مع زوجته ليندا اسمها وينجز (Wings)،
وكان (Band On The Run) أشهر ألبومات تلك الفرقة.

اشتهرت الفرقة أيضاً بأغنية "Live And Let Die" التي ألفها مكارتني لأحد أفلام جيمز بوند الذي يحمل نفس الاسم.
بعد ذلك غنى بول مكارتني مع عدة مغنين مشهورين،
مثل أغنية "Ebony and Ivory " مع المغني ستيفي وندر،
وأغنية "Say, Say, Say " مع المغني مايكل جاكسون

جورج هاريسون (George Harrison)
ولد فى 24 فبراير 1943 وتوفى فى 29 نوفمبر 2001 كان عازف جيتار، ومغنياً، وشاعراً غنائياً، ومنتجاً موسيقياً بريطانياً.
كان هاريسون عازف الجيتار الرئيسي في فرقة البيتلز. و كتب هاريسون بعض الأغاني مثل

"If I Needed Someone"
"Taxman"
"While My Guitar Gently Weeps"
"Here Comes the Sun"، و "Something"

و خلال تواجده بين الفرقة، أنجذب هاريسون إلى الموسيقى الهندية وإلى الديانة الهندوسية.
أضاف هاريسون إلى قائمة أشهر فناني الروك آند رول في عام 2004.
كما يتواجد أيضاً على القائمة مع البيتلز كأحد أعضاء الفرقة
توفي في 29 نوفمبر 2001 في كاليفورنيا، الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية،
في منزل أحد أصدقائه بسبب سرطان الرئة.

المعروف باسمه الفني رينجو ستار (Ringo Starr)،
و هو مغنٍ بريطاني، وكان الدرمر للفرقه.
وهو والد (زاك ستاركي) درامر فرقة أويسس (Oasis) البريطانية

أنتجت الفرقة 13 ألبوماً بالإضافة إلى عدة أفلام. فاقت مبيعاتهم البليون نسخة.

بعدها انفصلت الفرقة.
